The Oklahoma Panhandle skies and light are as beautiful as any I've seen in the U.S., especially after a storm.
Taken June, 2009 One of the most spectacular sunsets I've seen occurred near Piedmont, Oklahoma at the highway 4 & 3 intersection. Taken November 11, 2003. When compared to the National Wildlife Refuge, the Cooperton, Oklahoma area provides an equally beautiful scene in the Wichita Mountains.

One of my favorite scenes is just a few miles from my home. Taken near Yukon, Oklahoma in February, 2006. This family farm is a member of the Oklahoma "Centennial Farms" program, which recognizes family farms and ranches that have successfuly operated for 100 years or more.
