My winter photographic subjects are beautiful specimens from Foster' Flowers in Edmond, Oklahoma
This image was an "accepted" (runner-up) in the 43rd International Photographic Competition sponsored by our International Photographic Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City
Studio shot of a tulip from Foster's in Edmond, Oklahoma
An image of a flower I had never heard of. This Star of Bethlehem was one of the most interesting flowers I've ever worked with.
This was also an interesting shoot because of its soft texture and subtle color differences
A nearly perfect rose motivated me to create an image worthy of its appearance. You all determine whether or not I accomplished that goal.
These Calla Lillies are just one example of the beautiful flowers grown by my niece in Los Gatos, California.
I photographed this Common Dayflower in the Wichita Mountains near Lawton, Oklahoma. The background is pink granite, which is a common geologic feature in this area
Another superb specimen from Foster's Flowers in Edmond, Oklahoma
I found it really interesting to shoot individual Wysteria blooms instead of photographing the entire cluster as usual. I've also done this with Red Bud blooms as shown in the next slide.
Like the Wysteria, I usually concentrate on the clusters or the entire tree and not the individual buds. As we can see, there is good reason to look closer....
